How Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and my Pomeranian gave me a second chance at Life.
My Story
Have you ever felt like your head had been thrashed by a baseball bat? Like you had lost your mind? I have. I was in a car accident with a semi-truck, suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and was in a coma for almost a month. When I woke up, I couldn't walk or talk. I was a "walking zombie" for about six years. I felt like my life was over. I was so depressed that I decided to commit suicide. But then, my dog, Chewie, saved my life. He wouldn't let me give up. He gave me the strength to keep going.
I'm so grateful to be alive today. I've had the most wonderful and enjoyable life experience since then. I've learned to walk and talk again. I've traveled the world. I've met amazing people. And I've found a new purpose in life.
I want to share my story with others who have suffered TBIs. I want to show them that it is possible to recover and live a full and happy life. I also want to thank all of the people who helped me along the way. They gave me the strength to keep going when I wanted to give up.
I believe that everyone has a purpose in life. Even if you've been through a traumatic experience, you can still find happiness and fulfillment. Don't give up on your dreams. Keep fighting. You can do it.
